🙈Don’t laugh! I’m watching your old videos while I do my summer planning. My stepson is the same age as your son, so as you’re talking about Nathan’s senior year, I’m remembering Jayden’s. Wow! It was a surreal time, huh? I work at a middle school, and you just thanked all the teachers. We ALL had a hard 2020-2021 school year. Parents, teachers, and most importantly the students. I’m to this day amazed at all they did. That class of 8th graders (who are now seniors!!) were some of my favorite kiddos because we had such deep and important convos that year. 💕 It was so difficult, and we’re not normalizing trauma, but I am so thankful that I can now look back at that time with so many glimmers of hope and learning and fun.

not me watching everyone's planner videos bc i NEED to figure out what I'm doing for 2025. I have SUCH a strong attachment to the weeks but part of me is like well get the A6 HON to journal. but i also don't journal... I'm constantly going back and forth and my brain hurts lmao

September 30th is a Monday and in the DD the weeks always start with a Monday.

When I first bought a Hobonichi, I bought this amazing cover. I never knew about a cover on cover or why people would use one until a few weeks later, my cover was stained. I don’t know how but now it’s ruined and I’m so mad I didn’t know. Next time Hobonichi. Next time!

Love this video... I've just found your channel. I used to use Franklin Covey. That's right. Strictly for work and it was so costly. When I saw the lady drop her Palm Pilot in the Franklin Covey store and bust out crying like life would end because she just killed her device, I said I'd never get one of those! But then I got a Blackberry and several types of planners I didn't stick with. I've always been a paper list girl so when I discovered Happy Planner UA-cam videos that used a bunch of stickers, this scrapbooker lost her little sticker mind. But I finally tried a Hobonichi Weeks. I can list till my heart is content AND it will fit in whatever purse with my big iPhone. Yes, the stickers still tempt me but I'm walking away. I have enough sticker books to last me a lifetime now if I feel so inclined. Plus those things are like $22 dollars now! That's a large fries at Five Guys LOL.

I’m watching this in June 2024 and I’ve only been using LD since February I think. I bought a regular project planner and I’m wondering if I just missed this option on their website or if it’s been discontinued. Either way, I do really like the idea of a project planner with a sewn binding. Thanks for this walk through!!

I have that same A6 cover and I will use an AVEC A6 forever now. lol. I have a gorgeous brown Moterm for my weeks but the weeks is not working for me- BUT I NEED MY COVER! lol I do not know what to do.

Today I was at Staples and they had a really cool academic planner however I noticed ot was missing the month of July! I'm still confused! I checked out the manufacturers website and that's how it's supposed to be! Have you ever seen this? Global Printed Products

Compact vertical I think lends toward just the layout name but not that the planner itself is compact. There is already a vertical layout, and an hourly vertical layout. I’m not sure what else they could possibly call it. “Stacked Vertical”? We get what they meant none the less lol

It's funny for the longest time I was lightweight against daily planning. The last year or so and it's been my jam lol. I love the A6 Hobonichi. I played creating a weekly view on the Sunday daily page. Not sure if I'll get another next year or just use a small notebook for daily planning as needed since I don't daily pain everyday. Also I've gotten better with taking a planner out of rotation if I'm not feeling it or if it's just not working.

I love the chunky planners too.

This is my first year using an EC planner. I've been using Happy Planner for YEARS; but for some reason I felt pressured to heavily sticker each page, and I wanted to get away from that. EC seemed the way to go. One would think the transition to a Vertical Life Planner would be a no-brainer, but no! And I can't even explain why; it just doesn't 'feel right.' This video was very instrumental in my decision to change to an A5 Daily Duo. (I actually drew out a sample of the daily pages on several sheets of A5 paper and used them for a few days!) So the order has been placed, and I'm fairly confident this is the planner I never knew always needed! Thank you!

Gillio never has the colors in stock I want either, bummer! What are your thoughts about VDS? Love your rings, seems so functional. I find that rings make me fee organized but I’m not drawn to writing in them but my Hobo can end up kind of a mess.

It’s your approach that may also work for me. I’d be interested to know your thoughts on the separation of work and personal tasks. I’ve always used and need a daily log for work so I struggle with planner separation of duty. I just do not want to see work stuff in my personal journal, specifically when it comes to archiving. I can see you have a lot of experience and therefore, insight. Thank you again for making time to share.
